As one of the organisers of Blur is
a tgirl (at least on Saturday nights!), we welcome transgender and
intersexed people
and their friends with open arms.
Therefore, all guests at Blur are expected to be comfortable in the
presence of other guests of differing (and sometimes indeterminate)
genders. While we obviously can't place strict criteria on who
constitutes a transgendered person and it would probably be offensive
to do so, as a guideline we would define a
transgender person as someone who makes a serious effort to cross
traditional gender boundaries in more than one area (clothing, hair,
makeup, voice, mannerisms, etc). The practicalities of running a
successful event mean that we need to have regard to our
desired balance between males, females, and those in between; therefore,
if you're a transgendered or intersexed person, please let us know when
you ring to
RSVP. Note that we do not have any particular gender balance in
mind, but will take each
on a case-by-case basis.

Dressing
at the party
To make things
easier for our transgendered guests, a very
limited
number of half-hour spots might be available in the bathroom prior
to
opening time. If you'd like to book a spot, please email Sabrina at .
